Gettin’ Jingy with it
November 2, 2007Well, after many technical glitches I have produced an instructional video podcast that I could use in my video classes. You can find it at http://www.screencast.com/users/oakvilleboy
You may see a familar face in the video. Enjoy.
That was a very cool demonstration of “splitting the clip” or your could call it “removing the baby”. It was very clear and easy to listen to. Great job. I love the title of this blog submission, there must be a way to embed music in it. That way when you come to the site it plays a little Will Smith for you. If you know how to do that could you post it, that would be a great mini lesson.
Very nice application of the tool and I can see how Jing would be very useful for teaching this type of exercise. While is Jing is limited to the size of clip you can upload it can still be used effectively to teach a skill where you present a skill and then direct learners to practice the skill. Rather than a half hour video of number of skills you can teach skills in discrete units giving time for practice.
Great video tutorial. I was short and to the point. I can see students watching and learning from it as it was quick and easy to understand. I haven’t used Jing yet but ut looks interesting.
Poor baby! Interesting demonstration. Well done. I don’t know how to do this … yet.
Super Dave, well done! What is ScreenCast? What makes it so useful? I have not tried to snoop around it yet.
Screencast is just a media hosting service. I don’t know all the ins and outs yet. I just know that I was getting stymied with Picassa web albums and got alerted to it. I’ll have to play with it more myself.
Good job. I like screencast.com and I like the amount of memory they give you.
Hey I liked the “Splitting the Clip” or “Tripping the Rift” demo: either way you look at it – it is a move towards closing/conquering the Digital Divide.
It kinda reminded my of Yugma where I could actually follow and make sense of what was going on through the use of arrows accompanied by voice over.
The end of the baby sitter. A good example of precise instuctions. I will take a look at screencast later.
