Playing with Toys

October 23, 2007

Now I’ve scowered the web completely and have seen all the blogs and I beleive I may have commented on them all.  It is definitely a learning experience to see others’ points of view and liberally steal their ideas for your own benefit.  But hey, nobody really expects teachers to respect copyright either now do they?  But seriously folks, of course that is the real point anyway.  Everyone has great ideas I’m looking forward to see more of them.  And now that I’ve got everyone’s RSS feeds I not be able to miss anything.  Some things just work so darn good.

I’ve added names to my Skype contacts and have set up a Picasa web gallery (which still needs to be tweeked).  I have set up Jing, however, I have not had quiet moment where I could narrate a demonstration.  That will be next.

  1. A Picasa web gallery, I am intrigued. Please let me know when you get it tweeked so I can take a look.

  2. I believe in collaboration. Today for you, tomorrow for me.

Yes, some teachers are very protective of their materials and their product. I understand where they are coming from. In the other hand I think together we could come up with better products and become better educators.

About Picasa…the same…I would like to see it.

  3. Getting ideas and sharing is what this exercise is all about. As a teacher I never had any problems sharing anything with anyone and I see that using the blog is an excellent way for people to share. I would like to know what is a Picasa gallery?
The jing I have downloaded and I hope to get some quiet time in which to play and discover what it can do.

  4. Piccasa works great although I have mostly used Flikr to store and display pictures in a blog.
There even is a wordpress widgit for Flikr so you can upload pictures from your Flikr account into your wordpress blog.
